- Invitation to ‘EAT HAPPY Day’ on 3 October 2024 at 3 p.m.
EAT HAPPY is collaborating with Japanese football star Shinji Okazaki and his team at FC Basara Mainz to show interested Japanese people new career opportunities in Germany. As part of this collaboration, the specialist in fresh sushi in food retail will be the main sponsor of FC Basara Mainz in the 2024/2025 season.
Founded in 2014 by Shinji Okazaki and Takashi Yamashita, the club quickly rose from the 11th to the 6th league. The football club is the only one in Germany that was founded and is managed by a Japanese person.
Today, EAT HAPPY prepares fresh sushi and other Japanese-inspired dishes daily at more than 1,500 shop locations in German supermarkets, where end customers can purchase them as part of their regular shopping.
“Our passion for freshly prepared, high-quality food that is accessible to everyone has helped to build a bridge between German and Japanese culture. Shinji and us are united by our enthusiasm and passion for what we do every day,‘ says Natascha Tessmann from EAT HAPPY. ’Shinji’s personal drive to open doors for a new generation of Japanese football talent in Germany is in line with our founding philosophy.”
“I am honoured to have EAT HAPPY as a partner with whom FC Basara Mainz can share a common vision”, explains Shinji Okazaki. “I am eager to work together to encourage people to succeed in Europe – not only on the pitch, but in all areas of life.”
